Physics

The Department of Physics at this university was founded in 2013 with a clear objective of producing highly competitive scientists equipped with the most advanced technological tools of the modern era. The department is dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching and research and fostering a culture of learning and scientific enquiry among its students and faculty.

The department offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Physics, which is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of physics, as well as hands-on experience with the most advanced technological tools available. In addition, the department also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines of physics, enabling students to pursue advanced research in their chosen fields.

The faculty members of the department are highly qualified, with five of them holding Ph.D. degrees from reputed international universities. With a total of 11 faculty members, the department provides students with access to a broad range of expertise and knowledge in the field of physics.

The alumni of the Department of Physics have gone on to serve in various organizations across the country, contributing to the development of the country through their expertise in the field of physics.

History

The Department of Physics at this institution was established in 2012, with a focus on providing high-quality education and research opportunities in the field of physics.

In the same year of its establishment, the department introduced its first program, a two-year Master of Science (M.Sc) program in Physics. This program aimed to equip students with a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of physics and to prepare them for further academic and research pursuits.

A year later, in 2013, the department introduced its second program, a four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Physics. This program was designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of physics, along with practical experience in conducting experiments and research.

In 2014, the department launched its third program, a two-year Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program in Physics. This program was aimed at providing students with advanced research training in physics and preparing them for doctoral studies.

Finally, in 2020, the department introduced its fourth program, a three-year Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Physics. This program aimed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out original research in physics and make significant contributions to the field.

Over the years, the Department of Physics has grown and developed, attracting students and researchers from all over the country and producing skilled and competent graduates who are making significant contributions to the field of physics.
