Mapping organic carbon in cropland soils of Poonch Division, Azad Jammu & Kashmir for future monitor Soil degradation as a consequence of natural and anthropogenic factors poses serious threat to sustainable agriculture in Poonch Division. The problem of soil degradation needs immediate attention to implement a regional soil protection policy. A key process of soil degradation in the Poonch Division is the loss of soil organic carbon (SOC) via soil erosion caused by geomorphological conditions and inappropriate soil management practices.
